As we were leaving on Sunday evening to go away for a few days, we shut the front door behind us and attempted to ‘double lock’ the door only to realise we had left a key in the lock on the inside which meant we were unable to insert the key on the outside, so we were unable to turn the key to re- open the door but at least the door was secure so continued with our plans.The following day we phoned our daughter to ask her if she would contact a locksmith on our behalf to see if anyone could help us gain entry on our return, she contacted ‘Black Wolf’ who kindly attended in a remarkably short time after agreeing to meet my Daughter at the house, Julian (I think) had the door open within 25mins or so without causing any damage and at a very reasonable price. I cannot trust or recommend this locksmith to anyone.I was arranging a lock change for a family member and obtained a quote from this company. Initially, the quote seemed reasonable, although my experience with the customer service was not great. The woman answering the phone appeared short-tempered and became irritated when I asked her to repeat herself due to poor phone reception. To avoid any misunderstandings, I requested that the quotation be confirmed by email, which I duly received. However, around five days before the scheduled work, I received a call informing me that the original quote had been incorrect because the locksmiths were away when I first contacted them. I was then told that the cost would be £600 more than originally quoted.I was also informed that the job would require two locksmiths and take a full day to complete, despite the fact that I was supplying all the locks myself. Based on the scope of the work, I did not believe it would take a full day simply to change the locks.The company was unwilling to honour the price they had originally quoted and confirmed in writing. Black Wolf Locksmiths in St Neots did an outstanding job for us. They reconfigured all our locks to work on a single key, which has made things so much more convenient. They also replaced our old, worn-out wooden garden gate with a really solid, secure new door complete with a proper locking mechanism — a huge upgrade in both security and appearance. On top of that, they installed decking and handled the painting, all finished to a very high standard. Professional, reliable, and clearly take pride in their work.
